The Real Tea Party

Are there two Tea Party Movements? It seems that the Tea Party was influential in the recent election, but they must do more. It is one thing to say we need to cut government spending. However we must put forth methods as to just how to cut spending.

Without some firm plans and direction the Tea Party will become, as Thomas Friedman says, the Tea Kettle movement. "Just a way to blow off steam." We want government to cut spending and we must come up with definitive directions on just how to do that. One way is to repeal the terrible Health Care bill. This bill , in it’s present form, will only drive up medical cost and cut services.

Granted, some changes may be needed in our health care system, but the present bill is not the answer. The additional cost on business will only stymie job creation. Why would a business man hire new employees when he does not have a clear outlook as to what health care will cost him?

Our government has brought us to a state of incremental decline and we are loosing our completive edge. Politics has become a forum for legalized bribery and our representatives are divided by partisanship to the point of paralysis.

We need a leader to emerge with three characteristics. First a leader who is a Patriot, one who is more interested in fighting for his country than for his party Second a leader who convinces Americans that he, or she, actually has a plan to make America successful, thriving and respected again. Third a leader who believes his job is not to read the polls, but to change the polls.

Pollster Stan Greenburg has said that our country is in trouble and countries like China have a strategy for success and we do not. We must use our ability to attract creative talent. This means people who invent, build, and sell more goods and services. This will make people’s lives more productive, healthy, comfortable, secure and entertained. This is the plan the real Tea Party wants from its president. We will have some hard choices to make such as raising some taxes, like gasoline, and cut others like the payroll taxes and corporate taxes. The long term solution is to grow our way out of debt with American workers who are more empowered and educated to compete. It is far more than just shrinking government and slashing taxes.

Is the Tea Party up to the challenge? I see the Tea Party that is still waiting for a leader.

On Sunday, September 12, The Charlotte Observer ran an editorial on the Bush Tax Cuts. They made the statement that the tax cuts "are utterly unaffordable". Keeping them in place would reduce government receipts $3.7 Trillion dollars over 10 years. That is 10 years in which experts project massive substained budget deficits.

They state that the bigger truth is that the entire federal budget is unsustainable. They go further to say "we need significantly higher government revenue."

Has anyone thought that we might cut government spending? Let’s see how we might do that! We need to eliminate several government agencies. To start with "The Energy Department". It was started to eliminate our dependence on foreign oil. Since it has been in control, our foreign imports of oil have increased, not diminished. ..........Eliminate the " Department of Education". Education decisions should be made on the State and Local level, not in Washington. .........."The Department of Housing & Urban Development" should be eliminated. Again these functions should occur at the State and Local level. ......... Eliminate "The Department of Labor". This is a wasteful department and the decisions should be made at the State and Local level.

We should eliminate all of Obama’s Czar’s. These people were not confirmed by anyone, other than Obama, and should not have the power they have. Repeal the Health Care Law. Start over and get a bill that is not 2,300 pages. With this many pages it can not be efficient, but intrusive in our lives.

It will take a strong leader to propose these changes. I would like to see a New President in 2012 who will balance the budget. My advice is to start by telling Congress to give him the "Line Item Veto". If they baulk at doing this, he should then redline every bill that comes to his desk and tell congress "Take these items out or I will Veto the entire bill." It is time we have a Leader in the Presidency. If we don’t elect a strong leader, we will not survive as a nation.

71,000 new job in August! Unemployment rose from 9.5% to 9.6% in August. Obama sees a silver lining in these numbers. At the rate of 71,000 new jobs per month, it will only take us 118 months ( that’s right, 9.8 years) to get back the 8.4 million jobs lost since he took office. Don’t tell me, it is all the fault of Bush!

Remember in the spring of 2009 when Obama promised that if we pass the stimulus bill unemployment will not exceed 8%. Instead six million jobs have been lost. Some are predicting an unemployment rate of 10% by years end. This is the worst unemployment rate since Herbert Hoover, but remember, it is all the fault of George Bush!

In all of Obama’s speeches he never seems to mention Growth. There is a great deal of "fairness", "subsidies", "stimulus" and "benefits" in his voice., but nothing about Growth.

He has had a relentless campaign against profits. Profit for business is a bad word. He seems to feel that profits will not lead to expansion of business and hiring of new workers. I am reminded of the man that told me that he had never had a job from a poor man. Without profit, how is a business to expand and hire new workers?

Profits and success seem to be alien to this crowd in Washington. Business is looking at large tax hikes, burdensome health care cost, and increased union organization, all encouraged by government. The only work that will increase is for the Trial Lawyers!

Among the targets of Obama are names like IBM, ExxonMobile, and Bank of America. This is because they are the most visible symbols of American Capitalism. By regulating our great corporations and undermining their profits he is shifting power from the free market to government.

How do you judge a President who spends his first two years trashing private enterprise and then blames everyone, but himself for the failure. It must be the fault of George Bush! It is time Obama faces the mess he has made and quit blaming others!

Is Glenn Beck Crazy? Glenn Beck had a rally last weekend at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. The number attending range from 90,000 to over 300,000, depending who you listen to. I have noted several things about the people who attended.

After the event was over, there was no trash left behind, unlike the Obama Inauguration when the place looked like a trash dump when it was over. Those attending were asked not to bring any political signs. There were none in evidence.

The most common item on display was the American Flag, both large and small.
Beck had a simple message. America needs to return to our Core Beliefs that this great country was founded on.

He called for a return to Faith, Hope, and Charity. He called for all Americans to return to dependence on God. He called for each of us to return to Faith in God. He called for a return to Hope. Hope in America and the American Dream. He called for Charity. Support your local place of worship, regardless of which Faith you ascribe to. Donate to your local place of worship. Be kind to your fellow man and help those who are down.

I believe that the message was right. He called for Revival in America, a non-violent revival. His was a call to return to our founding beliefs, in our places of worship, and in our actions in the political arena. Such a change in the hearts of Americans will change our personal lives. A return to Faith, Hope, and Charity will change our political future . If we ascribe to higher standards, we can demand higher standards from our elected representatives. It must start with each of us first, as individuals.

IRAN & ISRAEL

Our Country is on the brink of a great decision. Iran seems to have made great progress in developing an atomic bomb. This past week they announced their first unmanned attack drone and have called it "The Ambassador of Death".
Iran has made no secrete that they wish to "wipe Israel off the map". It looks like they are making progress to being able to do this. The question is when will they attack and what will be the position of the United States?

I believe that we must support Israel. It is very possible in the not too distant future that we will see Israel make a preemptive attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Israel can not just stand by and let Iran carry out their threat. To think that Iran won’t strike is to be naive. This is a real possibility and the question is what will we do about it.

It is possible that Israel will try to take out Iran’s nuclear program. I for one would not blame them as they are under a threat and must answer it. Do they wait until Iran makes a first strike? That would possibly destroy some or all of Israel. We have seen the leaders of Iran state that they will go after Israel, and the United States will be next.

We must stand with Israel, even if they make the first strike. If we abandon them, the radicals will only be encouraged. We will be next on their agenda. Much of the world will condemn us if we stand with Israel, but they will be glad to see that Iran will not be a greater threat to them.

Israel is not seeking war, but they are not afraid of it either. They are a feisty people and very much want to live in peace with their neighbors. Think of it this way; what if Mexico had vowed to wipe the US off the map and were making weapons to be able to do that. Would we naively stand by and let them proceed? This is the situation with Israel. They must act to protect themselves.

Well he has done it again! Obama has come out in favor of building a Mosque within two blocks of Ground Zero. It is a direct slap in the face of the victims of the 9-11 attack on our land.

The better part of wisdom would for him to have been quite on this matter, but he has chosen to get involved. He still claims that Islam is a peaceful religion and he has stated that the United States is not a Christian nation. Granted, there are some Muslims who want to be good citizens. However they seem to never speak out against the radicals in their religion. The radicals want to impose Sharia law on the entire world. Do a little research and you will find that Sharia thinking goes against everything that America stands for!

I remember most of the Muslims in the Mid East took to the streets to cheer the destruction of the Twin Towers and the loss of lives there. Some say that we should be tolerant and accept the Muslims. I disagree. If they will come forth and condemn the radical members of their faith, I can be more tolerant of them. Until they are willing to stand up for the standards of the United States, I am not willing to accept them.

They do not have to agree with our religion, but they must agree with the founding principles of our Nation. If we do not take action to stop the perpetrators of Sharia thinking they will ultimately take over our Nation.

Please do a little research on Sharia Law before you discard this message. Regardless of what Obama says, the United States was founded on Judo/Christian principals. We must stand up for these principals as well as the Constitution.

As one of our founders said “For evil to succeed, good people should do nothing”. Wake up America! It is time to take back our country!

Anchor Babies

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." This is part of the XIV Amendment to our constitution.

This Amendment was passed to insure that freed slaves would be considered citizens of the United States. This was the right thing to do in July of 1868. In recent years this Amendment has made illegal aliens citizens if they are born here. This has resulted in what are called "anchor babies", babies born here even though their parents are illegal.

It is time to revisit this Amendment and consider revoking it. It has served it's purpose and is now being used for a purpose other than intended. The original purpose, to grant citizenship to freed slaves was good, but now it is working against the citizens of this country.

We should continue to welcome legal immigrants to this country, but they must come legally through the system.

Impeach

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
This is the Oath of Office for the President of the United States. I believe that Obama has violated this Oath in so many ways that he should be impeached. Let me list the ways.

This president does not uphold the Constitution, but he is a danger to our safety, security, and personal freedoms. He is powerful because he is supported by large majorities in Congress and he does not feel restrained by the rule of law.

He has put up the weakest possible defense of the Defense of Marriage Act.

He has transferred billions of investor dollars from the bond holders of Chrysler and GM to his supporters in the United Auto Workers.

His paramount goal as stated during his campaign is "to fundamentally transform America." He is making great strides as a dedicated Marxist.

His contempt for limited government is clear as he appoints judges who want to create law rather than interpret it.

When we were faced with a threat to America by al Qaeda, we knew who the enemy was. Now we have a dedicated enemy of the Constitution working from inside. Obama can, with the stroke of a pen, do what bin Laden cannot accomplish with bombs.

The level of government deficit spending is unheard or since World War II.
For the first time in our history, the next generation will have lower standard of living than their parents.

His immigration policy is a disregard of his obligation under Article IV, Section 4 of the constitution "to protect states from foreign invasion."

Because of all of this the Members of Congress must defend our nation against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That means that Congress should bring charges of Impeachment against Obama, our enemy within.
